The will of Littleberry Leftwich of Bedford Co., Virginia mentions his daughter Polly Reese. Her obituary indictes that she was born in 1779.

BEDFORD CO., VIRGINIA PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX LIST:

Jordan Reese is in the Bedford Co., Virginia personal property tax list for the first time in 1797 and is there continuously until 1813. Initially he has one horse or none, and then in 1803 and later he usually has 3. In 1809 he has 7. In 1809, 1811, and 1812 he has one slave and in 1803 he has two. In 1798 he has a stud horse. The rate of covering is $3.00. Jordan is always in the southern district.
